check your wallet

hi all!
if you buy bitcoin you can check how much bitcoins you have at you wallet by searching you public address at blockchain or blockexplorer.
but if you buy other currecny and send it to an offline wallet (bitaddress,walletgenerator)
where can you see how much coins you have and if it really transferred the coins ?
