Check this out: A new site-7 backlinks---PR5??????

Just doing some bklink research and found this site that have 7 backlinks (with www. ) and 48 backlinks (without www), all the backlinks are from PR0 (PR 7 homepage) the same site. This site was added feb 2009 and has a wooping PR5.

Can any1 explain. I'm confused.

from my understanding because this happened to me b4 sometimes while google is indexing it just fucks up but this usually corrects itself later and it will get slapped back down.... i wouldnt get to excited like i did b4 lololol

doesn't PR come from things like traffic as well, not just backlinks?

I had a site go PR7 with 21 backlinks, but 2 of those links were PR8 and PR7. You don't necessarily need a large number of links.

I would say when Google calculated PR this PR5 site you mention was on the front page of the PR7 and it got lucky with the timing.

I also have a site with PR2 and from just 1 backlink. But the traffic is still low.
