I’m trying to set up a proxy and feeling a bit confused about the results from different checking tools.
With the same proxy, when I test it on IPFighter, it shows a WebRTC leak, but the proxy status still says “no”. Then I check on Pixelscan, and the proxy section also shows “no”.
Does that mean the proxy is still safe to use and not easily detected? Or can a WebRTC leak still affect whether the proxy gets detected?​
 
most sites dont track WebRTC but this is a browser level leak, not the proxy. u can consider using anti-detect browsers that will take care of that. your proxy is fine
 
If ipfighter is showing a webrtc leak, that's a total deal-breaker, because it means your real ip is still exposed no matter what other tools say about the proxy status. You definitely want to get that fixed or find a new proxy if you're trying to stay genuinely hidden
 
the proxy ip itself is clean since both sites say no for proxy detection, but that webrtc leak is a massive problem.
webrtc literally leaks your real home ip right past the proxy so any target site can see exactly who you are and ban you.
your proxy is actually fine but your browser setup is blowing your cover, you gotta disable webrtc in your browser settings or use an antidetect browser like adspower to spoof it otherwise the proxy is basically useless.
 
You can try a few more checking tools and judge by the overall pattern instead of one result. If most of them do not flag the proxy, it may still be usable, but a WebRTC leak can still create mismatched signals on the browser side. In ours, WebRTC can also be hidden or modified to keep that part more controlled.

You’re checking two different things. “Proxy: no” means the IP looks clean, but a WebRTC leak means your real IP can still be exposed. I personally use MaxMind and IPQualityScore to check if the IP is clean. If WebRTC is leaking, it’s not safe yet even if the proxy looks fine. Let me know if this helps.
 
"Proxy: no" checks the IP's reputation — WebRTC is a browser-level leak that exposes your real local IP regardless of what proxy you're running. Completely separate issues. Disable WebRTC in Firefox via about:config (media.peerconnection.enabled → false) or use an anti-detect browser that handles it automatically. The proxy can be perfectly clean and still leak through WebRTC.
 
Yeah, WebRTC leaks are the real deal. If ipfighter shows a leak but the proxy says 'no', your real IP is leaking. Disable WebRTC in your browser or switch to an antidetect browser (e.g., Adspower). Then re-check with a couple of tools (IPQualityScore, MaxMind). If leaks keep popping, drop that proxy and grab one that actually hides your IP.

A few things, a WebRTC leak doesn't automatically mean the proxy is bad or even instantly detectable. Each tool measure slightly different things which is where the variety of results come from.
Usually, if the proxy status still shows “no” on tools like Pixelscan, it means the leak probably isn’t exposing your real IP in a major way, that or at least not in a way they consider critical for detection (I'm personally unclear on the metric or standards of what is considered critical, exactly)
That being said, WebRTC does still matter in certain cases. Some platforms are stricter than others, and leaks are more of a cumulative signal than an instant ban trigger, a bit reductive but it's less to do with one leak = detected, and more about the overall fingerprint consistency.
So yeah, the proxy can still be usable even if one tool flags a WebRTC issue. I’d look at the overall setup rather than treating a single test result as definitive. Always best to test if the option is there.

WebRTC issue is just your browser giving away your real IP on the side, not a proxy problem. Your proxy is fine. The tools are telling you the proxy itself isnt leaking

You need to check the actual IP shown in the WebRTC and make sure it matches the proxy IP.
