Check out my flyer.

that's really a good design. also, you may want to change 'recieve' to 'receive'. good luck.

Ugh, im such a dumbass. I totally missed the post where Thizz uploaded his PSD. Sorry. :p

Hey Guys
:

I reconstructed the flyer and made a PSD for all of you to download and edit. It's not as good as the OP's but it's a start. It has all of the layers separated so you can customize. It has a transparent background as well so you can print it on whatever color paper you want. Change the font to whatever suites you. Hope you like it!

Please don't shoot me, it looks really professional... but I think it looks way too crowded to convert with the offline crowd. The fluorescent colors drive me away from your call to action, which also isn't quite clear for the average person that really only takes a quick glance at a flyer. What I'm missing is a real header, a clear call to action. Again, when people read a flyer it just has to 'click' right away, they won't read 5 sentences and then re-judge how they feel. It's a hit or miss kinda thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a graphics designer myself so I love 'artsy' designs.. but I've learned that's not what converts people offline. I bet you'd do better with an all yellow flyer and simple, black wording.

Something like this:

The first thing that came to my mind was:
Why the hell would anybody give away a $1000 gift card for free?

I would prefer the yello paper / black writing idea mentioned a few posts above and make it more like a "summer sale" or "special opening discount" for a new business.

I ran a business using solely flyers. Expect an average 1% response rate. I tried many designs and the arty designs did not pull as well as more wordy efforts in two colour print. To distribute the only guarantee to get them out there is to do it yourself. If you outsource this you will be tres fortunate to get 100% delivery. If you can deliver 200/hr you are Olympic standard.

Why not split the print with 2 designs to test?
Do NOT hit the street and throw them in the air! Do not put them under windshield wipers.

DO find out the demographic of your target market (I know, yawn!!) and deliver the leaflet to THEM.

I spent/wasted a lot of money on leaflets, but get it right and the rewards can be high. Redemption is the key. There has to be a real call to action to get the reader to respond and attractive though the leaflet appears I do not see a reason to take action and I find the many colours and shades distracting.

I'm an old guy and if this was me starting over I would be looking at placing QR codes on cards everywhere I could with the code and the simplest of text screaming at the reader to act.

Hope this doesn't sound too poncey or know it all. Just trying to save you a lot of wasted effort and heartache. I started off with full colour gloss print and ended up on two colour plain card, the cheapest. I also made an offer that ENDED just as I printed and started to distribute leaflets. That was a real blow as I had to pay for all the redemptions or lose credibility and my business. Starting simple is not a bad place to set out from.

As an encouragement if you find an offer good enough that you fully control you can actually SELL your leaflet just like the guys selling coupons on ebay today. I used to sell coupons for cell phones to clothes shops etc to give away as incentives for $10 and if the person redeemed the coupon I made $90 minimum plus all the upsells for accessories insurance etc. A much stronger response rate for these. The money is in the detail of the deal. I used the same technique to sell hair transplants! You can't download that!

Good luck, plan well, work hard and don't give up!

Looks nice to me, how you planning on distributing them?

I like the 2nd version much more!

But still too much text.

Shorten it up.... Claim your free Best Buy Gift Card Bakersfield.

If I were you I would try to shorter the text a little, to much chit-chat on the flyer. Just my 2 bucks...

pretty good actually comparing to the ones ive seen lately this one is great

Looks good - except for the spelling error!

It's recEIve not recIEve

Hate to be picky but bad spelling is unprofessional.

Good Job mate...That really looks good

Wish you good luck for your future ventures....

Does this grab your attention and to the point?

Why the f@ck wud u write what the f@ck?

Your trying to target the general public right (or are u targeting teens :/), they need to trust you, you need to come across legit and professional.

Other than that its pretty good.

Just need to put some kind of urgency. WE ONLY HAVE 100 LEFT!

That's a great idea. Thanks to everyone in this thread btw. I learned alot about flyer marketing just from this one thread. Psychology has a part in offline marketing I see.
