I'm curious how I should check if a domain is blacklisted by Google before I buy the actual domain. Blacklisted as in not indexed due to spam or something.

The fastest way to know if you have been blacklisted by Google is checking if you are not being crawled by Googlebot. You can find this in Webmaster Tools just by going to your site in Webmaster Tools, then clicking on Diagnostics and finally clicking on Crawl Stats. If you'll see it go to zero and stay at zero then that's bad news, you're blacklisted!

you may use tools like majestic.com for the BL history also you can check with this tool http://www.bannedcheck.com/ not sure how reliable it is, but I found domains with it that were blacklisted.

Here is another one from Google, http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/removals/copyright/search/

Search the website url in Google and you will be on your way to find the blacklisted or not. There are some online tools, but the best method is to search url in Google to find the real culprit.

Guys use the Thank You button as already discussed so many times here on BHW or don't reply!

@tekn1qu3z - how do you want to check a non registered domain on Google?

Check if its indexed and also check the quality of backlinks pointing to it. Use wayback machine to check what the site was about and decide whether it was a legit domain. If a domain is not indexed, its best to avoid buying.

To everyone saying to do a simple Google Search: you can't if the domain hasn't been registered yet.
Thanks to everyone for providing the links.
