Cheapest web hosting?

If it's just a portfolio site (HTML,CSS,JS) then you can host it for free on Netlify (It's pretty fast). But they don't support backend/php though (so no wordpress etc).

My experience when using free web hosting.
I always get some stuck when using free web hosting.
Most of them need requirement ( like minimum visitor in a month eg: infinityfree.net) or email disabled.
You need to remember to visit your portfolio once a month , or you'll lose and create new again and again

My experience when using cheap web hosting.
They very strict about TOS, High CPU use, and web hits (eg: roqie.com) they very easy to suspend you.
Whether it is on your plan or not. some robot crawler or wrong WP setting/addon can make your account in their attention.

But if your plan only for new website or portfolio or any new born make money website that need time to grow
Now, there a lot new hosting offers less than $1 hosting per month while you search on google. goodluck!
 
People have their issues with 1and1 but I have used them for years and haven't had any issues and they aren't going to break the bank in your wallet either.

Be careful of going to cheap you may just end up with resellers that'll just dissappear
 
you can host a website on AWS or GCP. They offer free VPS
 
Namecheap hosting can be purchased for low to medium real time traffic
 
My advice, don't go for cheapest. There are plenty of high quality web hosting providers at reasonable price. For example I used hostgator before, haven't got any problems with them.
 
Cheap hosting is available from hostingsource.com and libertyvps.net.
These guys are amazing. My site was set up in minutes and it has been up since. No trouble, hassles or miscommunication. GREAT!
