000Webhost is free, and rather reliable. But it really depends on what you are looking for, shared, VPS, dedi, ect.

Use hostgator or some big ones, rather pay a bit more and get a good hosting than getting some trash, right?

In India we have some rather cheap hosts. Cant say about their reliability, as I dont use them. Search for cheapest web hosting india you'll get ones under a dollar a month!
