Please let me help you in hopes to reap reward from Allah:
1. First, learn about on-site SEO.
-
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/perfecting-keyword-targeting-on-page-optimization
2. Keyword research for your exact match domain:
- Check out Keywordn-i-n-j-a (the n-word is blocked out from BHW, IDK why...). KWNja is a Google keyword scraper (different from adwords.google.com Google KW Tool)
- Please learn how to use KWN and find a lot of KW's (like 500...)
- For your root keyword, if you want to use CPA, use something like "free download" or just "download" or something like that...
- If adsense, just use something you are really familiar with. Like if you like PS3 just use Playstation 3.
4. Copy the list of KW's in the CSV file KWNja spits out and paste all of those words into a txt file to strip out everything but the words and paste [just the plain txt] into Google KW Tool (learn what this is man!!)
5. Find all of the KW's that are above 2000 [EXACT
LOCAL] searches
- Add filters for "[NOT] > 15000" LOCAL and "[NOT] < 2000" LOCAL
- Sort the KW's by local searches (big on top -> small on bottom) and export from Google KW Tool (find the little 'Download' button) to a PLAIN CSV (not microsoft csv, though it really isn't that big of a deal).
6. extract all of the good KW's to check for Exact Match Domains.
- Highlight all of the good KW's from the CSV file you just extracted from Google KW Tool and export them to a txt file (name it so you know what it is! I just name it "EMD-CHECK-[ROOTWORDHERE]" w/o the bracket's)
- Please find a bulk domain checker like name cheap's bulk domain checker (Know what this is man!)
- check for all available .com's
- some people like .net's and even .org's but I think it's tacky. Whenever I visit an online shop that ends with a .net or .org I am prejudice against them like they can't afford a .com lol.
- Export the available Exact Match Domains (EMD's) to a Txt file (I usually have to copy the whole bloody page and then just manually edit in a txt file)
7. Check competition
- Find a way to check PR (the higher the number, the higher the quality of the backlinks to the page). This is the easiest way to check competition. This is all I really check when I do competition research. If there is two 0's in the top five result's, it is an easy KW for a noob (like me...)
- I don't look at amount of backlinks because first it's not accurate most of the time and second you can build just as many quality links as the other guy has if given the same amount of time.
- The only other thing I would consider is if he has an EMD then he might be like a total baller at SEO and own you. I have never encountered this.
8. Export the low competition, > 2000 exact local search EMD's to a txt file
- out of a list of like 500, you might find like 10 EMD's.
- out of a list of like 10 EMD's, you might weed out irrelevant ones such as warez, porn, illegal stuff, and bad kw's that you can't make an article out of (like abbreviations and stuff) and end up with like 3 good ones.
9. buy your domain with name cheap. it's the best registrar ever. even if they're more expensive.
10. ok, now research wordpress.
- how to install it into your host via ftp
- how to install plugins
- the best plugins to install, especially an SEO plugin that lets you modify Meta Data (you read SEOMoz on-site SEO tutorial right?)
- also, a theme! the best to use that's free is mystique (
http://digitalnature.eu/themes/mystique/)
- also, another important thing is the static homepage option so that your site can look like an actual site instead of a blog. just leave the blog page blank if you don't have one (leave it default, you don't need to specify a page for it!)
- research how to add menu's. also, a tip is to uncheck "auto add new pages" to menus so you can specify which links you want.
11. find a host
- you can use a freehost like agilehost so you can get the hang of cpanel. it helped me a lot to use a free host with cpanel to learn cpanel when I switched over to Hawk Host, my current paid host.
- watch out for "discount" hosts like hostbig! they suck! Balls! (downtime, slow speed, support)
Now install wordpress and activate the theme, change the settings you want (you researched every option in youtube right?), delete the default pages and posts, add a page titled [insert keyword here] (you read the seo guide right?) and make it your
static homepage, add a "home" link that is seo'd, write seo'd content, post it, and your done.
research how to write seo content
- look at sample articles of content writers that are in the Buy Sell and Trade section in BHW.
uhh... that's about as far as i've gotten myself. I don't have any content atm. But, I have also researched off-site seo too, so that's something to consider; though I don't think it is as important as getting the actual site up and running. you can just have the site idle while you spend a couple of weeks trying to research off-site seo. just on-site seo is important for now, which is all contained in the guide.
I think that's it. Someone clean this post up and repost please!
