Cheapest way to create a site

I have an idea to test.

I also want to send traffic to my website by using a number of different landing pages, so :

1/ Does this get frowned upon by google? IE that the site I am sending the user to is to explain what the site is they are about to visit... ie like an additional sales or index page?

2/ Would you recommend using the templates which can be found on here, or moonfruit or what?

The idea is pretty rude on the one hand and not on the other :)

1. Look for the LinkWheel in the Member download section

2. Use a template that you feel looks good and will work for you, doesnt matter where it comes from though there are some absolutely brilliant ones here!
 
I saw some templates here and they didnt answer me when I asked if they were free and unlocked. clearly they must have been but it didnt look as though they were.

So I guess if its say an affliate page - use a template
If its a new idea - use a template and pay a coder to implement payment API?

I did think moonfruit supplied free sites but i think you have to pay something small and then upgrade, plus I am not sure they will host adult or high risk content....
 
If you see a site you like, view source, copy and save.

download the images, [dont hotlink] reup to your domain, edit the way you want and done.

Not neccessarily scared of templates, just that I want them to actually work. The word press link is great, but I guess I need something that will be able to support a payment gateway etc you know?
 
It all comes down to what your doing, most of the templates on here work, obviously you'll have to replace the logo files and customise the text. Occasionally all you get given is a PSD file, which you'll need to have coded to your specs. If you want someone that can do this drop me a pm and i'll be able to put you in touch with someone.

With payment gateways, there are tons of wordpress plugins, being honest depending on what I am doing if I want something quick i'll just throw wordpress up, upload a theme and install plugins :D
