Who do you guys recommend to buy domain and hosting from, with the best bang for buck?

Cheapest domain is Godaddy for $1 with coupon. Hosting also you can get with coupons for 50-70% off.

Thank you, much appreciated.

Coupons only lasts for one year though, any suggestions for long-term solutions?

For hosting you can use Ramnode and go and search on Google for domain name providers and their coupons.

Good luck!

Another one bites the dust..

I tried using the promo code for web hosting at Godaddy, but i see that a SSL certificate will cost me additionally 6$ pr month.

Is SSL important for SEO (news website)?

SSL means literally nothing if you have website that have no sensitive data, but people love to see that green lock in their browsers. You always can use some free ssl, it does almost the same shit but for free.
Also i recommend some vps over shared hosting, take a look at 1&1(they have nice cloud plans) or time4vps.

Don’t choose GoDaddy, their service is crap and overpriced. For small sites I use namecheap shared hosting and it’s pretty decent for what it offers. However you’ll have to test more hosting providers and see which one suits your needs but I think a VPS is what you need.

If you feel confident with GoDaddy, give it a go.. you have 30 days money back guarantee

Good luck!;)

i"d advice you go for a strong hosting man. A Cheap hosting almost gave me a heart attack recently.

You could buy a domain for $1 with GoDaddy for the first year, however I'd personally recommend Namecheap, as it'd be easier to navigate and work with.
As for hosting,
- woothosting
- buyshared
- spartanhost

and honestly many more options.

My brother make sure to make further googling search....

Many domain sellers sell domain at low price but other charges like whois guard and co complicates the matter.....

So you are likely to see the price skyrocket during the process...

Namecheap is an option for cheap domain...

$9 for the first year and $49 for renewal so the choice is yours...

I always recommend getting your domain from some place different than you host. I have seen too many times guys go with a fly by night host and they shut down or have issues and you are stuck because they have control of your domain.

Put your domain with someone else. Keep backups of your site if there is ever an issue you can move and be back up and running in no time.

So many people recommend Godday but I don't recommend this Hosting provider because they are doing fraud using term and policies.
