I need to build a small army of Android phones. I don't need anything super fancy, and no sim required.. just something that can download Android apps and connect to wifi that can be rooted. My personal phone is apparently one of the hardest phones to root.. I spent like 12 hours on that shit and ended up giving up. I've seen other phones on YT where people root it in like 5 minutes.. that's what I'm looking for, but what phone is the cheapest because like I said, I will need to build a small army of them and I don't want to break the bank.

Thanks

get some old nexus devices like nexus 4 or nexus 5. You can root them in 5 mins :p not sure why it took you 12hrs. Btw which phone are u using ?

I have a samsung moto g4.

Every other phone on the market you can just download kingroot and root it in 5 minutes.. but not the G4. It's possible, but they make it a super fucking pain in the ass, so I gave up.

I will check ebay for some Nexus devices. Thanks

Oh.. stupid question but.. when people say "unlocked" on ebay is that the same thing as root? Or does that mean that they just work with any cell phone provider? I guess I can just buy phones already rooted if that is the case..

It means that the phone should work with every provider.

Samsung mobiles are easy to root and they have easy custom roms online. Just some models have KNOX which may trip. So i prefer samsung for rooting.

I think I found a supplier on Ebay. Sent a message and going to negotiate pricing. Thanks for everyone's input.

maybe is bluestacks a good solution its simulate android on your pc .. so u dont need to buy phones

Mtk chipset mobiles are easy to root . Mobiles like Blue life , GIONEE . MUI etc

YouTube man, write model number and root, for xiaomi got an app, for Lenovo note used steps in youtube

why not set up multiple virtual devices and download these apps instead of having actual phones?

Exactly. Maybe you will consider Bluestacks.
The Bluestacks does not give 100 percent simulation of the mobile device. Many applications determine that they are not installed on a real phone, but on a Bluestacks, and send a message to the developers.

You can use BStweaker to change the IMEI and the phone model. I was trying to run snapchat on bluestacks and I had a problem till I used the randomizers of BStweaker. Snapchat blocks the default Bluestacks info, if you spoof them, you are good to go.

I sometimes use Bluestacks with BStweaker for Instagram and it works for me. I didn't test it with other apps. At least OP could try it because Bluestacks is the cheapest solution.

I'm looking to do the same thing.
I found kingroot is the most intrusive rooting software. It takes over your home screen, lock screen, popups galore. Cannot be disabled or removed from application manager. Hidden uninstall in the program itself. If there was a malware category for android, this would be king. (And the root doesn't even work, even though it says it is rooted on my phone)
