I am going to do Long Codes to start, but if I get passed 1,000 subscribers (the most for twilio), I want to have a backup with a short code provider.

I also was thinking maybe I should make a comparison Long Code, VS Short Code and show the price difference and everything, then offer it to businesses?

Or just use Long Codes for Text Business Cards for like $10 per month that would be easy money.

Txt180.com is pretty good, I just found a site called TextMarks.com and they have really, really good prices for resellers! Trumpia.com is alright.

Anyone found any better ones? Or have any ideas for me?

Thanks!

you could also get two numbers... start people subscribing on the the second number... use openvbx to manage it all :)

my personal preference at the moment is txt180 for a shortcode sms provider... second to that would be actually having your own shortcode! :)

You should check out TextMarks.com and Optit.com

EDIT: TextMark*S*.com not TextMark.com

just fyi and to clarify what i was talking about with the two numbers

once your numbers start getting up there - you port 500 of them over to a second number... or you simply have the new subscribers sign up under the new number...

with openvbx there is a dispatch plugin that will enable you to manage both numbers pretty easily

if you are making money and billing the client appropriately it will be worth the minor hassle to set this up! :)
