    Hi all,

Been searching a domain for a website I really want to develop (personal project with actual content, not only making money out of it :p), I found the perfect domain, it ends with .cc, and when I went to the checkout at Namecheap it would cost 29$! 0.o

It would be the first domain I ever register that doesn't end as a .com, and I was actually pretty surprised it would cost me 3 times more.

I already looked into GoDaddy, I can get it by 19,99$, but I heard that company can "lose" your domains.

So, in conclusion, is there a place where I can get a .cc domain for less? Or coupons for namecheap/godaddy that would make the price more bearable?

Edit: Also, what's your opinion about .cc domains? And regarding white hat SEO on those?

    Thanks in advance,
    LadRak.

My main question remains... how does a .cc rank up on google?

I get a lot of my domains at 1and1.

    cc is $19.99 there.

I've had about 10 domains there for a few years no issues.

Hey Ladrak, I don't think that the TLD affects your rank in google, your content and backlinks would probably be more important!!

I've seen site's with a dot org or dot net rank higher than some dot com's..

Now with that said.. I dunno about the credibility of a dot cc domain.. personally I've always associated a dot cc domain with that of a free domain..I suppose I would trust a site with a dot com more than a dot cc.. but that's my personal opinion..

Also check out the link, it might help.. :)
