    hi,
i want to run xrumer on a server and read here, that it should be a dedicated one.
but i don´t need so much power, because i want to post maximum 5000 posts a day.
so i think a vps should be enough.
but i have no knowledge about server administration.
so does anybody know a hoster who offers a not too expensive managed vps plan and where i can install xrumer?
    thanks,darkstar69

Well the joke is that this app takes a lot of CPU to run, and usually VPS is not the right solution for that. But you can try to see if you can get away with it :)

the cpu usage is ok.i also run it at home on a fanless pc with a 1Ghz via cpu and 1GB RAM and that is no problem.
and don´t forget, i don´t need to run so much threads at one time.
only maximum 5000 posts a day.

take this suggestion to heart, if you arent doing much with xrumer just run it from your local dsl or whatever using proxies or if you are lucky enough to have a dynamic ip just use it without proxies, he's right that any old shitbox (you really want 2gig of ram in it though if you load up a large urllist) will post fast enough for xrumer to get those posted in nearly no time

i use xrumer on my home pc too,but for other purposes.
and from home i need to run my torrents, too.
i have a dynamic ip adress but i also use a vpn for my torrent business.
and on my home pc the most most important thing is my torrent business, that brings me the money at time.
but i also need to run xrumer without interruptions 24/7.
and torrent + xrumer without interruptions at home is not possible.
so i need a server for xrumer.
but now i´m tired for looking for cheap vps, now i decided to get a dedicated server.
maybe i can use it for other purposes, too.
so no need for this thread anymore.

    greets, darkstar69

NO NO NO FUCKING NO! AVOID THESE MOTHER FUCKERS! OMFG RUN NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

seriously, those fuckers had weeks of downtime on a server due to a bad nic that i had to self diagnose due to them being slow as shit, then i had the ip that my server was assigned taken by someone else, had to change ip's on the box, fine, i dont care about that too much, then the directadmin license had to get updated for a new ip, i told them to sort it out, long story short, they proceeded to DELETE about 200 websites in the process

run a fucking mile dude, these guys are BAD NEWS

edit: oh and that was just 1 batch of problems, there were more... sigh
