Hey gang. I've been out of SEO stuff for a few years. Working on rankings for just one website. What's the best cheapest keyword ranking service to track a few dozen keywords?

if its for your own sites just use ahrefs free webmaster account. as long as you can upload a txt file to the sites root you can track it for free

ahrefs and semrush are great for this task. Easy to use and free/cheap depending on what you need it for and how many metrics you need to check
 
If it’s just for your own site, you can use Google Search Console to monitor keyword performance for free it’s not fancy, but the data is straight from Google and more than enough for a few dozen terms.

if ur only tracking a few dozen keys dont waste ur money on high-end saas subs . total overkill for a single project
i usually go with serprobot (formerly serplab) for small scale stuff . it’s the cheapest reliable cloud tracker on the market and u only pay for the specific serp bots u need . handles tier 1 geos and local tracking way better than the free tools
if u want 100% free and dont mind doing it manually , grab the fatrank chrome extension . it’s my go-to for quick spot checks . u just hit the site , type the kw , and it pulls the rank in seconds
btw since u've been out of the game for a few years keep in mind that google's proximity factor is insane now . if u r tracking local keys , ur rank in the north part of a city might be pos 3 but pos 20 in the south . standard trackers often give u an average , so take the data with a grain of salt unless u use a tool that supports uule parameters
 
If you’re tracking only a few dozen keywords for one website, SERPWatcher (by Mangools) is the best value for price and ease of use, while Google Search Console is sufficient and free if you don’t need detailed daily tracking.
 
For tracking a small set of keywords, affordable tools like SERPWatcher, RankTracker, or even Google Search Console can provide reliable data without high costs.
 
There’s some free or cheap tools that do the job for a few dozen keywords. A lot of people use Ubersuggest for small sets it shows rankings and doesn’t cost much. Google Search Console is free and gives real position data straight from Google.
 
For tracking a few dozen keywords on a budget, Serprobot or RankTracker (SEO Toolbelt) are very affordable and sufficient, and you should also use Google Search Console alongside them for free data from Google.
 
For tracking a few dozen keywords, cheap options are KeySearch, SERPWatcher, and Nightwatch. KeySearch is usually the cheapest and good for small sites.
 
keyword.com is the one i am using to track few of my clients' keywords. It works good with local results also supported.
