Cheap hosting/domain names for Microniches ?

Hi , can anyone advice me where to get a cheap hosting/domain names for some microniches i want to start , i don't want to lose too much money on those so i can spend more on content and seo ..

Stay away from 1and1. They will scam you. I paid for hosting there 5 months ago, then two weeks ago they told me that my hosting was locked because the card I had on file wasn't activated anymore.

1and1 charge a $6 dollar phantom fee, so they say, and when that phantom fee didn't go through, they ended up charging me some type fee because their security check as they like to call it, didn't go through. What the fee was for, is still a mystery.

I ended up cussing their support team out.

Couldn't believe they was locking my hosting, which I paid in full 5 months ago, because they was trying to steal money from my account and I didn't let them.

Stay away from 1and1 like the plaque....they are nothing but a bunch of crooks.

If you're just starting out then:
- Namecheap for domains registration.
- Hostgator baby plan for hosting.

When your sites get bigger think about reseller or VPS hosting and look for hosts with consistently good reviews.

1&1 specialize in domain registration (like GoDaddy or Namecheap), so I wouldn't use them for hosting. Their control panel (a couple of years ago; last time I transferred all my domains away from them) is very antiquated and clunky. They made it very difficult to transfer domains away. Stick with namecheap for domain registration (or any other established and recommended registrar).
