Cheap domain just to test the waters

Hey friends.

I want to buy cheap .info domain on godaddy just to test some stuff/cloak aff links/test review site building/ and I can buy it there with PAYPAL for just 3$(which is practically nothing).
The thing is, I obviously won't buy WHOIS protection because I will buy it with fake name info.

So is my thinking correct?
If there will be any problems/I will be ready to launch proper review site I will buy proper .co m domain on namecheap with WHOIS protection.

Is that plan ok? This will be my first domain and I just want to get everything right.

That's fine. Typically, though, you can find .pw on NameCheap for $3 with privacy protection.

There is an awesome coupon in the Domain Name section of the forum right now that gives you privacy and a .com for $4.15 total.
