Hey guys,

I really need a cheap provider for a .com domain, and possibly to pay with PayPal. Not the goddady offers that offer 1$/year domain, but make you pay for 2years at least (15-16$ total).

NameSilo has .COMs for only $8.99/year. The price includes ICANN fees and free WHOIS privacy protection as well as many other free tools to manage your domain.

you can check with 1&1. They offer you a .com domain for $1 for the first whole year. The following years they'll charge you something like $14 or so. But uptill then your site will get financially stable enough to overcome that cost.
you can give that a try.
For me it's working great till now.

Total including ICANN would be somewhere around $1.5/ year. You can also have whois protection for free too.

And yes you can pay to them via paypal.

1 and 1 sucks, godaddy sucks, there is an Indian alternative bigrock which gives it for like $2 per domain (without privacy) you need Indian IP to avail the offer and can use any cc or vcc

1&1 going good for me up till now

actually you can use an extension called honey with godaddy.
Last week it showed me $0.90 something for .com domain for whole year and u just had to pay for that only not 2yrs/3yrs as honey applied some special coupons.
Give honey a try. You can get good discounts.

I prefer namecheap myself. I always just use coupon codes and end up paying like 7 bucks.

Mmmmmmmmmm now I'm confused
I used GoDaddy for my previous domain and it's not up to a year and I'm scared they'll Start charging me $14
But I need another domain this coming week .so I'm watching this thread for better domain provider:p

Is there anything cheaper than namesilo's $8,99 domain? Support is good and management of domains is completely easy. More importantly there are no marketing tricks like go daddy's that make you into committing for 2+ years or more.

You guys are forgetting Namebright.com. Their .coms are ~$8 something too.

Namebright costs 8.53/yr. for a .com. But the whois comes free for only one year after that its 2.95.
So a two year .com will come to $20.01
Namesilo: its $8.99/yr with free whois. So a two year .com with whois comes to $17.98

I use GoDaddy and then once I get to the basket I just bring it down to 1 year on the dropdown menu.

I got most of my domains with Namecheap, very nice support.

Almost all my domains are hosted with them. Never had one single problem. Easy interface, great support live chat.

As a matter of fact I ended up buying this domain with them too lol. I just wanted to know if I could find a cheaper alternative for this domain.
