Hi, You can try Viber and Skype, many people use it. I personally use Smartgroschen - great call quality, nice price and low top-up.

I confirm Smartgroschen is good app for cheap international calls,voip calls with good quality voice calls.

I use the Bria app and a Sonetel number (if you need a landline); works fine with me.
Skype, however, is always my first choice.

Smartgroschen is the best app to make cheap calls. They have a small top-up starts from 0.89 Euro, so just enough to use from time to time.

you can use viber ! and if it's iphone to iphone or ipod you can use facetime its free all you need is WIFI OR 3G/4G
