Coding = Gemini PRO and Claude are the best

Gemini PRO is easy to get for free for a whole year, several methods around.

Video creation = Gemini is the king with Veo3
Daily usage = it doesn't matter that much tbh, Grok, Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT...all of them can answer your basic questions about how to peel a potato

Game development = Claude & Gemini are the best
Image creation = here ChatGPT is the king

for me it's like that, why would I pay $20 per month for OpenAI if Gemini PRO (for free abusing their free trial) offers basically the same or even better in some use cases? Unless you are using it to create image, it doesn't worth it

I know the OP is suspended but I agree with ChatGPT Pro being best for images.

Gemini often tells me it can't generate images!

I didn't test it yet, I'm not working with videos, but supposedly yes, because I'm already using Gemini Pro and one of the features is Veo3.

But ofc, probably low limits, better than nothing
 
No, ChatGPT PRO is not worth it for image generation.

Just use the free ChatGPT account and use the (paid) API for image generation. (verification needed)

nice positive extra: you are not limited to 50 image generations like in Pro.
 
Actually I didn't renew my ChatGPT subscription, with so many alternatives offering free trial and higher limits, I don't see a reason to keep paying for a specific tool, at least for now.
 
Veo 3 is nice, but very buggy and too restricted. I regret taking the Ultra subscription for it. Was a waste of money, particularly so, as they eventually opened access to it from the Pro plan.

I agree Chatgpt is currently king for images. Their quality is astounding, but restricted. Try generating an image of a popular celebrity and you will find out. What I do in such cases is to use unrestricted Chinese models, then refine their output with Chatgpt. But even then sometimes Chatgpt still catches on and refuses to process the request

In my opinion, if Kling AI manage to get sound in, then they are the real king of the AI generation hill.

Gemini 2.5 deep research is really good and quite intelligent.
 
Was about to pay for chat gpt. Guess I'll not buy anymore. Nice thread here

The $250 price tag is just a lot for something I may not use a lot.
 
VEO3 videos are a max of 8 seconds, aren't they? Next to useless.

100% agree! Chatgpt plus is miles better in image generation than any other tool. And I have noticed they are also less restrictive towards plus members. chatgpt is so subpar for copy writing you can instantly detect it's AI.

For creative ideas and content generation gemini 2.5 pro (06-05) is the best.
