So with ChatGPT free apparently only up-to-date with what's going on in the world up to mid-2001, has anybody updated to the Plus for $20 a month and know whether it 'knows' things more recent?

its still lacking in knowledge of the most recent events
but is far better in getting more creative

True ChatGPT will likely only replace entry-level coders because it can do easy tasks such as generating basic code snippets, detecting and suggesting fixes for common errors(helped me a lot idk how to code ) , optimizing code for better performance, and conducting code reviews for standard practices.

This helps automate and streamline some processes, but more advanced coding tasks/scripts and complex projects will still require skilled human developers at least for another 10 years I’m guessing

although chat gbt did most of the work for my tinder bot that is able to contact support for me . Still can’t swipe but at least I automated the most annoying part that no one codes for some reason

They claim it’s because of the api , but why are they using the api then ? You can just use a browser macro or something similar. I use adb and androids .

ChatGPT trained until January 2022, as far as i know. ChatGPT Plus isn't a different model. It's just faster. It does have the option to use GPT4 now, as opposed to GPT 3.5. GPT 4 finished training in August 2022.

Honestly I've been using it just fine without paying for it.

No, it's the same in terms of training data.
Plus is faster in response at all times and there are no peak time issues.
However, it better to use your own custom fine-tuned Api if you have a custom requirement.
