"ChatGPT creator OpenAI is stealing “vast amounts” of personal information to train its AI models in a heedless hunt for profits, a group of anonymous individuals claimed in a lawsuit seeking class action status."

I think we will see more and more lawsuits, how this will end?

In OpenAI's favor
Why do you think so?

BTW, I think it'd be difficult for these guys to prove exactly how OpenAI is stealing information unless OpenAI is willing to corporate.

seem just another opportunistic looking for profit lol. google use our data for profit, why not all use gather and sue them lol.

I'm surprised it took this long. But I'm pretty positive that this will lead nowhere

OpenAI are only 'stealing' a fraction of what Google does.

Maybe this concerns the "We've temporarily disabled the browse with Bing feature...."

It’s very helpful. Take it as a positive thing.

“Anonymouse plaintiffs”, sure. Sounds like new PR stunt by those A.I companies themselves.

Dragged out in extremely long court cases. Some wins, some losses, some settlements, maybe some fines. Nothing compared to what OpenAI will ultimately make tho, not even a fraction.

It's funny how this is being characterized as stealing. Even if, individuals always have the right to unsubscribe. For instance, in Italy, they halted activities when they identified security issues, without resorting to legal action.

If chatgpt looses case, all AI hype will be gone in a second.
Whose loss is it, ultimately? I understand everyone returns to their normal lives and regain their reasoning. However, the pain will still be felt.

As far as i understood it is that they did that because it was very easy to get behind paywalls with ChatGPT and the browser...

Source Reddit :D

How will it end, it could go either way, all these tech Lawsuits are joke.
I waiting for more "stealing" as the "theft" is getting useless day by day due to 2 year old stale data. Evey passing day chatgpt is giving more and more inaccurate answers.
