ChatGPT change how SEO works?

I'm seeing a lot of opinions on Twitter and LinkedIn about how this could change the way SEO is done in the coming years.

I couldn't test the new openAI product yet due to the tremendous amount of traffic they seem to have received in the last couple of days.

Anyone able to test to give feedback before the ran out of space? Trying to know if we would be out of business in 5 years or less.

I am really amazed by ChatGPT, AI is already changing the way we are going to work in the tech space.
 
I honestly hope this guy on twitter is joking, because what happens here is nothing but the easiest scrape on the world.

he asked the questions that has the most article (potential answer) about.

so the AI just mixed the content of 792827 million articles and boom.
I don’t see this as a big deal.

AI IS already changing SEO, and it will continue to do so. We can either adapt/adjust or get left behind.

I agree AI is changing SEO and other areas of life. From the output generated, I'd say these are trained output sourced by gathering information just like the way everyone would Google it.

If you have the direction to do job, what happens to getting the job done (getting hands dirty) ? still human input?
 
I touched on this in a thread yesterday. Not just SEO, but copywriting, digital art and graphics design, poetry and literature and even programming. Maybe animation, motion graphics etc are next. It was funny when all those digital artists were crying about AI taking the top prizes in a digital art competition but this really does suck now, it's just eclipsing everything online and it's not even online.... yet :-/.
And I hate to be that doomsayer here but I'm having a long, hard think about what this thing can't become much better at in the long run and all I can think of are physical jobs - chef, tradesman etc where you need to work with very specific physical requirements.

As fun and useful as it is, I am kinda hope it's use is banned or restricted outside academia.
 
I tested out ChatGPT. There's a lot of talk about how it's going to "replace Google search". IMO that's being over-optimistic. ChatGPT is far from infalliable - - which isn't to say that Google is infalliable, but the difference is that, because the format of ChatGPT is a "dialog with your personal assistant", the bot sounds REALLY confident about the content it spits out, even if it's factually wrong. For example, I asked chatGPT to generate some simple code snippets, and not only did it respond with code that's blatantly incorrect, misapplying parameters and arguments, but it also gave me a long, seemingly authoritative, and factually wrong explanation of how the code snippet worked.
It seems really impressive when you first fire it up, but after a day or two you realize it's nothing more than a very articulate stochastic parrot - - none of the information you're getting from it is 'fact checked' and it might be blatantly wrong. Atleast with GPT3 I can fine tune it with a corpus to ensure some reliability in output, with chatGPT its a complete wildcard.
From an SEO POV, I wouldn't want to use ChatGPT for blogging because of the factual errors issue I mentioned. Far safer to use GPT3+fine tune.
 
This is a technology Google is using for years to autocomplete the next 3-4 words in your search query, replacing articles written by humans is still far away.

EDIT: And as a side note, most of these controversial twitter thread captions are just for growing a following faster. A very thin line between news sites title click bait.

Not just SEO basicly almost every industry. , gpt chat, stabble difussion, now waiting update for it to go video.
Basicly ton of high quality digital product on your fingertips
 
Google will learn to pessimize this very soon

Just for the record.... I really don't think Google gives a shit as long as their algo's are still the 'authority' here. They are and can implement their own language model that's rigged exactly to their liking, without constant disobediance of human users, and actually if their AI can provide a premium service that designs, writes and produces optimal feedback for what ads worked best in a fraction of the time and cost it'd take a human team to do then why wouldn't they? Or why would they omit news feeds just because it was written by AI if everything was factually correct? It all just amounts to less overhead and more profit for them (and Microsoft). People are jumping the gun if they think this will 'kill' Google (they have their own version anyway). It's content curators and blogger marketers and third-party advertisers that would suffer I think.

It's high quality cause people enjoy consuming it aka reading see or watch. Not like this article from spinner or old ai. Everyone? Lol getting into ai and tweaking it to produce result as you want is easier said than done. It's not just click than done. So no not everyone will be able to do it. Even to this day we have people think twice selling online. migration using ai will be slower too. Just like every new tech we have more people afraid losing what they have, compared to those use it to enhance their on work.

Btw what same output every tweak you put on it basicly create new unique content. there is think you need to cuztomize and diff people cuztomize it differently

Ofc google just say ai is banned otherwise those that not use ai, and write their own article with all those research etc will be angry. basically lip service. Even using ai and rewrite it cut those times exponentially

in the first place how you diffentitate a well written article? From Ai or human? Just like image or video. Customer just care the end result, they debate like they care where it come from, but fact they just care what they get.

Kill google? Why it kill google ?? All these tool is helping them mean more quality content on their platform. More time people spend on them.
 
While the thread is indeed impressive, even its author agrees that the program’s answers were a ‘5/10 at best’. In truth, AI can be an excellent tool that can make digital marketing easier, but it cannot truly replace human insight and creativity.

For example, take the article that the AI provided. It’s not badly written, but it lacks the creativity, passion, and personal touch of an actual copywriter. However, the program did provide great titles and article ideas, which can be quite helpful for a successful marketing strategy. My point is, no matter how good the program, it is highly unlikely that AI will replace humans, at least entirely, anytime soon.

This is so good. It blew my mind! Especially as a coder, the stuff you can do with this is great. I wish there was a lifetime payment on it when it goes live, I would 100% purchase it.

NN for animations and graphic design is already in place. Search for videos generated by Meta's AI based solely on the text inout
 
I have a chance to test the ChatGPT for a couple of my article projects it's been a complete game changer ... almost pretty organized result in just few command <3

I like it too.

I just asked Jasper to do a 1500 word article on a topic, included the prompts etc, and it generated 324 words.
Chat GPT was given the same instructions and generated a nice 1k word article.

Yo, this is about to change the game, man. It can answer so many questions, even code for you. We got to jump on it as the paid version goes live, wish there is a lifetime plan.
