ChatGPT ads are officially live - anyone testing them yet?

Just noticed ChatGPT has ads now; wasn't expecting to see that today. Honestly, I knew it was coming eventually; there was way too much money OpenAI was leaving on the table by not monetizing all that traffic. Feels like another nail in Google's coffin, or at least another crack in the wall.

Anyone else just now seeing this? Curious how targeting/placement looks and if anyone's tried running something on it yet.

I did a few months back but there was no way to track what converted and the quality was bad, would love to know how it is now

Yes i was not too surprised either with the amount of traffic chatgpt gets then the ads were probably going to happen sooner or later.

Exactly. Plus, we’re gradually shifting away from the old keyword-focused approach toward intent-based search, which makes exact keyword data a little less important than it used to be.
