Hey fellow BHW'ers,

I'm starting this journey on my way to financial freedom. I think I will be posting 2 times a week

My story: I'm a student at the moment, looking to finish next year. I have no real experience in internet marketing or earning money - although I'm really interested in it. At the moment, I only have one buddy who is into the same "earning money online" deal, but he's investing more in courses than taking any action.

Why do I start this journey?
1. I like the accountability part - that's why I welcome every thought from you guys, no matter how small. I will know in the back of my head: Hey, somebody reads this and maybe you'll even get something out of my lessons and failures, that I am going to make inevitably. Also, I will have no excuse anymore to procrastinate, even if I don't really know what to do.
2. Maybe I can network with like-minded people, who're into business as well, as I think it's awesome if you can gather some people around you, who are into building online businesses as well. It can get pretty frustrating if you're the only one doing it, and everybody is just sceptical and not encouraging.

My goal:
My first goal is my first ever sale. After that my goal will be to earn 1000€/month.

How?:
Starting a homepage that will capture E-Mails from potential buyers, which will then be getting regular E-Mails from me with me promoting the affiliate product(s).

Already done:
- get domain (namecheap)
- get webspace (namecheap)
- set up the homepage
- opt-in page, confirmation page, thank you page (wordpress + thrive content builder)
- set up autoresponder (getresponse) + newsletter mails
- set up a lead magnet (wrote an ebook by myself)
- ebook cover

Goals currently:
1. Drive traffic to the site (I'm aiming for free traffic, because I dont have the funds for PPC)
a. commenting in other blogs (it's pretty hard, out of 20 I wrote only 2 were approved with link)
b. getting involved in forums (doing this right now)
Future ideas
c. creating a video presentation on a platform
d. writing a guest article in relevant blogs
e. ~ dont know yet ~

Results so far:
1 competitor signup (spying on my mailing campaign lol, I googled him)

Today I worked on:
- finding more forums and "threads" for free traffic and registered in a lot of them, and wrote a couple of articles

- I realized my squeeze page could be targeted better to the potential customer, so I edited it to target the market better

- I improved my E-Book to fit the market better as well

- created a facebook & instagram page to promote my squeeze page

- installed a statistics plug-in to monitor page views

Main lessons:
- remembering to GIVE VALUE - really try to help the person asking the question and then linking to my page - to make it win-win

- it is possible to get people to my site (couldn't really believe this as a newbie)

Results:
- 16 unique visitors today, that's 15 more than yesterday

- unfortunately no signups for the newsletter
