If it's 2016 and he's not in jail, I doubt he ever was in jail... which means he probably wasn't charged. But if he did have images it's probably because:

1. Charles was 18 when he was charged, which means he was 17 / 16 or less when he probably took nude photos of his ex-gfs when he was dating them.... and then you know, kept them.

He basically got his name sullied all over the internet for no reason :)

I am not going to dig it all out. Here is what he was charged with.

111 indecent images of children, two different categories
He was found to have tried to extort money out of someone by videoing them wanking and uploading it to social media.
And hacking.

111 indecent images of children, hacking a governmental place, and extortion and invasion of privacy... and he's out before he's old enough to drink -_-.

The Mexicans have it wrong. Let Trump build the wall, and go build a boat to get to the UK... No wonder they want to leave the EU.

The reason he didn't get a stiffer sentence was that the Police, Judge, FBI and everybody involved, realised he was just a bullshitting clown. He couldn't hack his way out of a paper bag and had to pay somebody to help him lol
