They have weird laws there though. What the hell is "extreme pornography" then? I think they have laws against S&M if I remember correctly. I have no idea who this person is but it sounds like if he had been in Australia or the US that he wouldn't be in near as much trouble.

You can be arrested as a child for possessing child porn. For example, if a 16 year old boy receives a sexually explicit picture of the school harlot, the 16 year old boy is now in possession of child pornography and will be arrested for it.

UK has some extremely stone age and over-sensitive laws. Child porn IS absolutely reprehensible, but a 16 year old not being legally allowed to have a pic of his girlfriend is an entirely different thing. That's just plain crazy. In most countries girls can marry at 16.
