Update, Ralph their HMFIC of programming did respond to one of my posts about configuring the install. Here is my speculation about what is going on... They want the proggie to be the mega shit but in order to do that it has to have tons of options, each option adds the chance for a bug or whatever. Do a permutation of the number of options and you will get an incredible amount of possible things that can go wrong. "Fix" i.e. update one and there may be a ripple effect through the proggie. And it's not getting better, they are still gathering new ideas from the forum and trying to implement them before the SSES is out of BETA. The inmates are running the asylum, selling services to noobs that may or may not be needed.

I have not quit yet! I am actually able to import regular wp blogs into the system, I am going to try and to some of the drip feeding today. I'll keep it simple, one thing at a time.

And Brian, I will STFU about SSES if I can get some f'ing support! $127 a month plus $100 to Steve to install it, f'ing outrageous for a proggie that has almost no support!

SSEC is still going strong for me after 1 year. There is a learning curve and bannings are inevitable but the strategy is to just keep building and don't worry about everything not getting indexed.

I don't think I'll try SSES just yet, it has the potential to be better than SSEC but there seems to be a lot of problems with it at the moment.

I saw this thread and had to put in my .02. I've been a member of ssec for just short of two years now. The community over there is pretty solid with the majority of the members more than willing to pitch in to help someone out. SSEC itself is very solid. I can't even remember the last bug reported, and the development team jump all over any that do come up. If you have an idea or a request for a new feature,they don't hesitate to act on it. The majority of the problems I see with new members seems to come from their lack of work ethic. If you are a lazy person in general, you need not apply, but if you are in fact willing to put in work, the software pays off big time.

While this is my first month using Blog Cloaker, I can say that the guys over there (Mike, Ralph, and Brian) have been busting their asses adding new features and working with anyone having issues. I had some issues with the install on one of my servers, and it came down to me using the wrong version of php. I think the majority of the install issues i've seen have come down to user error or not following the system requirements. After I had php updated, it literally took 5 minutes to install and get running. The interface and concepts behind the software are solid, and I haven't seen any bugs at all with the latest release. Those guys have been listening to and working close with all of us to make sure we get a solid product with the features we need. Hell, I asked for an update to make it easier to add debug ip's and it was implemented in a new update that afternoon. It's like having custom software developers working for you lol.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I saw Brian over there working with you for quite some time on your server issue. It sounds like your host was unwilling to work with the guys to make the security work with the software. If that were me, personally, I would ditch them for another vps. I can suggest a couple if you want. I know myself and others haven't had any problems at all running and installing the system once the requirements were met.

First, you'll notice I have not added on or offered any other feedback about this system since Brian started helping me? I have been trying to give them a chance to help. Even Steel has had a nice conversation with me, but he is a 3P and wants to get paid, I do the same thing for Dolphin Installs, more power to him.

Yes Brian was helpful but the issue is still not resolved. Brian asked that I submit my server info to Ralph. I did so, I have no idea if he ever even tried to look at it.

My Hosting has been great. We chatted just this morning about setting up a test VPS to see How to make it all work, not if, not no. They want my business, they remember conversations. I have no problems with any other software I use on my server, maybe, just maybe, it is the plugin that is coded too tight?

Ditch them for another VPS, did you read the part in my post thanking Global for the suggestion? That is a possibility but I have 100+ Mu sites, migrating them could take a while. Obviously I'd rather find a coding or a permissions solution. Maybe .951 will have the answer.

I would welcome your suggestion on VPS as well.
