Chargebacks on Stripe?

Hi,

Recently sent $5k to someone via stripe and now they are ghosting me, never used stripe before. If they choose not to deliver will I get this back ? Or will it be difficult.

Its easy. Stripe has professional customer support and the payment is kept on hold for around 2-3 weeks (maybe depend country to country).

Stripe processes credit cards. You'll need to phone your bank or credit card company and issue a chargeback.

Connect with Stripe customer rep team and they will be happy to help you. As last resort, you can do chargeback on your credit card

You should contact your bank.
Your bank will contact Stripe.
Stripe will froze the funds and ask the seller for evidence.
When seller send his evidence, Stripe sends it to your bank.
At the end your bank decides will you have your money back or not.

We got a US stripe account and they hold the money for just 2 days. If there is a chargeback and no money left in stripe account they try to charge our bank account.

But as other suggested - no need to contact Stripe, they can't do anything... Your bank and/or credit card company is the place to call.
