Changing your article titles to avoid web 2.0s competing with your webiste?

I have been experimenting with submitting the exact same article as is on my site to web 2.0s.

What I noticed is that for one I am ranked like number 3 on front page for the web 2.0..this one got indexed the same day I think.

A couple days later and the article is now indexed on my money site but it's number 8 on front page.

I'm wondering whether to change the titles of these articles to avoid competition.

In another way though it's good cos it means I am monopolizing the market for those keywords right, giving me more real estate?
