    Hi guys

My URL structure for posts is currently

    domain.com/category/posttitle

    for categories it displays as

    domain.com/category/categorytitle

(It actually says category between the .com and the categorytitle)

Here is the situation im in.

Many of my posts are reviews that would fall under multiple categories. For example I have one category called 'reviews' then I have categories for brand reviews. Lets say my niche is clothing, I have the following categories

    Reviews
    Nike Reviews
    Levi Jeans Reviews
    Calvin Klein Reviews
    FCUK Reviews
    Adidas Reviews

Im wanting every review to fall under the 'reviews' category, along with its own brand. However when i go into the post settings, and look to add posts under the 'reviews' category, the url is changing.

What would be the best way for me to get my posts in the reviews category section?

    Thanks guys

Have you checked your permalink settings ? You can make a new page for every review and use the Posts for page plugin to show the articles for each category in that page (in this way the url will be the url of the page/category).

Change your permalinks setting to Post Title. This way, your post url won't change.

Then go to the edit page of each post, scroll to the category section, and tick the 'reviews' category along with the relevant brand category. Repeat the same for the remaining posts.

Try the Hikari Permalink plugin (I think it's been re-branded now). It lets you choose what category you want in your URL.

Will existing posts not have their URL's changed? For example all the links i've currently built will point to domain.com/category/category-name/post-title ?

Will I have to implement a redirect from existing URL's to the new ones?

    RewriteRule ^category/(.*)$ /reviews/$1 [R=301,NC,L]

    in your htaccess file under

    Options +FollowSymLinks
    RewriteEngine On

should do it once your change your permalinks

...or simply use the "Redirection" plugin.
