Hi, geniuses!

I'm rebuilding the structure of my Wordpress site and I want to go from virtual siloing to physical.

Currently, my posts are in a few different categories but the URL structure for all posts is the same, meaning domainname.com/post-1, domainname.com/post-2, etc.

I want to move posts to silos, meaning I'd prefer a structure like domainname.com/silo1/post1, domainname.com/silo2/post1, etc.

I know how to do it, but my question is: is it safe?

I currently have around 300 published posts.

I'm using Yoast SEO Premium if that helps with safe redirecting.

Thanks for your feedback.

just one question, let say you shift from domainname.com/post-1 => domainname.com/silo1/post1, than what will you do with domainname.com/post-1? will you do 301?

what i understand is that you already have some traffic and you have some ranking also in Search Engine (if i am not wrong) then how you will manage it? because you will see a massive drop in traffic and also with SE ranking.

That's my question. Will it impact the site that much?

Yes I plan to do 301 redirecting with Yoast.

I do have roughly 400-500 views/day.

You might have breadcrumps, if yes, keep it that way. There is no need to add the category to the URL.
