Is there anything negative that happens from changing a twitter handle or is it something that I shoudln't worry about?

i think that you can change it as often as you want.

Depends on what you are changing it to or from. Generally you will get some drop off because it makes people think "why do I follow him anyway"

Worst I saw was the textinstagram guy who had 200K followers then he changed it into his own name and lost 10K a day for the next 2 weeks. If you are just changing name for name though it wont be affected much.

The only bad thing would be that people might not be able to find you - if you change it other than that it doesn't matter

If your twitter is designed for your business, changing its name to a certain individual would surely bring a huge disaster. However, if its for personal use then there is no need for you to worry much.

If you're verified, Twitter will remove your verified badge (blue check) if you change it without them knowing.
