Data shows that the total number of people downloading the app per day has reduced after the change.

Atleast, Elon Musk can do an Andrew Tate, by Elon Musk soon announcing that he (Elon Musk) is "Top X", just like Andrew Tate is "Top G".

while everyone is used to talking about twitter, no one can say that this has been shared on "x" or that there is this topic, people still talk about twitter

I consider that the change was very drastic and of course it affected him. It was a forced change.

No one cares about names. People get over it in a couple of days. It's the functionality that matters.
Rev share was one hell of a strategic move by Elon. If at all, active users are only going to grow from here.

The fact that you created this thread is a proof that it was a smart marketing move.
Elon likes to play high risk, and with threads rolling out this was his response to grab the attention IMO

I was just sharing the news. It does not mean that I like this move.

It is good for me as I have been spending some days claiming usernames

For example

‘PetsOfX’
‘CutestPetsonX’

etc etc

Only time will telll...but I have a feeling this was for a greater cause and will be better with the name X. Specially with hthe "mega-app" concept to come, getting a new name was a strategic move.

Ironically, if you go to x.com you are redirected to twitter.com
I still don't understand Martian minds

the only issue I have with the name is that its probably gonna be very hard for any kind of search engine to pick up. How are you supposed to search for X in an index?
