Changing Twitter handle help

I have an aged twitter account that I hardly used and changed the handle and username for the account. Changed the email address as well. But now when I search the new handle it does not show up. My old handle is still viable when searched.

Just wondering if my new handle will eventually show up or if I should just create a new Twitter account?

Where exactly are you searching for the username? Are you trying to search in Twitter search for "from:username"? Have you posted any tweet since the handle change?

Yes but there are no tweets yet on the account. It was made in 09 but I have not used it since making it then.

you need to post at least once after the handle was changed. otherwise it will only show tweets with the old handle. however, it should be showing up in the search

your old tweets will show up with the twitter handle they were posted, need to tweet after the change is made.
