Anyone succesfully changed the niche of large instagram accounts?

Fan page to travel/luxury hotels niche.

What is your experience and any tips to minimise the loss of followers?

I could either change the whole page immediately as if it was always a travel page, changing the name and deleting the old niche posts.
Or i could slowly progressively introduce more travel related content with a combination of the fan niche content.

Yeah, this just doesn't work. Been there, done that.

If you've got an active following, I can almost guarantee you that you won't when you go 180 with the niche. You might not hemorrhage followers, but you aren't going to get the engagement you've been getting - - which will really do more to hurt you than anything else.

Find a way to bridge the two niches. Do that & you might have a shot.

I don't think this would work well.As far as I can get, changing the sub-niche is fine but this can hurt your page.

Thanks, i will try to bridge the two niches. But it is kind of hard.

It's a very large fan page for an actor who mainly plays in bank robberies. Thinking of bridging by posting luxury-mafia-travel like content, the bad guy who made it. Plus posting content of the actor from time to time to keep the focus on the actors character.

Yes, but lose 20K followers just in a week.

Well i lose about 30k-40k a month just posting the actors pics because his series and movies are delayed... it's kind of a seasonal niche. So i am hoping bringing in something new and more exciting will help reduce the loss of followers.

It's like you following an actor you loved the movie for but then months later you still see his head on your Instagram lol it becomes annoying after some time of no new movie or series...

You will loose followers, but is not bad if the remaining ones will be active. Also, don't delete old posts, just archive them gradually

Are you sure about gradually deleting? Because i will post pictures of houses and change my name. If someone see sad edit posts in the bottom follower or not i think he will not take ti good

Deleting it altogether will look suspicious to the algo and may lead to unwanted things like shadowban or maybe worse
