Changing IPs with Verizon DSL - it won't change, any ideas? Please.

I just got Verizon DSL installed and it won't change IPs. I've rebooted it and it still has the same IP.

Does anyone know how to change IPs with Verizon DSL?

I have the ActionTec GT784WNV (provided by Verizon) and it seems like if I could get it into Bridge mode it might work, but when I switch it over to Bridge mode it won't actually be online. It's currently in RFC 1483 via DHCP and there is a setting to put it into bridge mode, but when I put it in Bridge mode it won't actually get online.

So does anyone know how to put Verizon DSL into Bridge mode? Or to simply and quickly change the IP?

Hit release.
Unplug the cable.
Wait 5 minutes.
Hit renew, release, renew, release a couple of times. Renew should be hit last.
Turn off verizon modem(optional)
Plug in the cable.
Enjoy your new IP.

If it does not work, redo the steps again.
