Changing facebook account 'username' after limit..

1.Create a facebook page.

2. Change the username of the page to EXACTLY the same username as yours on facebook.

3. A request will appear to shift your facebook account username to your page, Accept that request.

4. Then, go to your settings, and change your own username to what you wish it to be.

I've not heard of this method but am sure it can work in specific niche's. Sometimes and I would imagine usually, they do require more intensive proof.

For example in the music industry, if an artist wishes to change their name, a live booking contract having the same legal name as that of the Facebook Fan Page works really well.

Specifically in the dance music industry when DJ's who rise want to eliminate the "DJ" precursor from their name i.e. "DJ _____" to "_____" to avoid that noobish stigma.
