Changing domain question

I use Blogger.com for hosting for my site because its nice and free. I'm considering buying a new domain using .com. My site currently has about 55 backlinks. Will these backlinks dissapear once I change my domain>?
OR is it even worth it to change to a .com domain? Should I stay with .Blogspot domain? any advice is greatly appreciated.
