Changing Domain on Wordpress

If I want to change my domain on my Wordpress website how can I do this whilst keeping all of my content the same?.

When I log in on mydomain.com/wp-admin... in "settings" under "general" it gives me the option to change domain, so if I put my new domain into this box will it switch everything over to the new domain as easy as that? and all content will be the same, and will the pages stay the same like mynewdomain.com/page? Or will I need to create a back up of the website and upload it all onto the new domain?

You need to backup everything and move it to wherever the new domain is hosted, then, to keep all your search rankings and links, you should 301 redirect your old domain to your new domain
