With my current setup I have a main page at the root of the domain that is a Wordpress site (domain.com). My forum is located at http://domain.com/forums. My main page gets neglected from updates because it is not tied to my forum for easy updating.

I recently used IP.Content on another site of mine and love it. This would be a great solution for the above site.

Now my question is, what's the best way to make the move? I really hate to get rid of my thousands of indexed pages, content, PR, backlinks from my main site to start fresh with IP.Content. How can I salvage my old content and going forward use IP.Conent? Do you put the old site on a subdomain then somehow tell google only the old stuff has moved, but going forward check my root domain?

I have no clue how to do this so any suggestions would be appreciated
