Changing channel name and content

Hi BHW! I'm about to reach 4000 watch hours and 1k subs and will apply for the partnership program. However, I want to change niche and would like to change channel name, logo and content. My current channel consists of music (I have license), but I want to change my content into healthcare.

Is it possible to change everything once my channel is approved for monetization? I plan to set my current videos to private and replace them with new content.

Yes you can change the name and niche but unless your new videos get a lot of searches you won't get views from your existing subscribers as they're not interested in your new content. At least that's what I've learned from my (limited) experience. Also don't private your old videos until your new ones reach 4k watch hours otherwise you might lose the monetization as privated videos do not count for watch time.

Your old subscribers are probably not going to watch your videos cause they subscribed you for music not for other niche so you have to create a new fan base good luck.
