Hey so I had one video that started to perform pretty well, but I was getting suggested views from videos that are not enough (only for the tags I had) so I added few tags. But after that....seems like youtube stopped suggesting my video. At least it is like this for 2 hours now.

Does anyone have any experience with changing/adding tags to the existing video that performs well? I hope I didn't fu** up my video.
Thanks.

last time i forgot to add tags to my video (some kind of trendy video) and after a day i added my tags, video get views very well ( 6k views for new channel with 2k subs only )
i think if u wait for 1 day it's gonna be alright

Changing of tags can affect your videos positively or negatively, use few ones and use the right one

I believe it's pretty much like adding hashtags after you've posted in social media platforms. Never noticed positive hike with modifying tags. Improves chances of success readily upon upload yet depends on channel's current rate of engagement.

tags aren't beneficial. for keywords, aslong as they are in the title and description thats all that matters.

You couldn't be more wrong.

You can use vidiq or tube buddy to find which keywords you are ranking and improve your tags to get even more views!

always check the ranking of the tags using vidIQ or tube buddy and change only the one which are not ranked.
Once i changed the description and added a comment (link to my another video) then all of sudden suggested views stopped

Didn't change much. I didn't lose nor gained any performance
