Is this new? Instead of just the URL, now the link looks like...

hxxp://www.youtube.com/redirect?username=USERNAME&q=http%3A%2F%2F666.gu%2Fycnr&video_id=ZZZZZZZ&event=url_redirect&url_redirect=True&usg=hxz4bEopLNJ1dQCfrNa7jcbHgzY=

Any one know what they use this info for? Are they now way more likely to delete accounts/videos just for having description links? Has it become a Yahoo Answers where only 'quality' links are allowed?

Haha, seems Youtube has started tracking clicks. So Youtube is now officially DEATH for blackhat

That's not funny :(
Links from channels are still regular URLs.
But links from descriptions on the clip pages are all changed now.
Last parameter (like usg=hxz4bEopLNJ1dQCfrNa7jcbHgzY) is the same for for all accounts using the same domain in the link. So it looks like they can kill all accounts with the links to the same domain. FUCK! FUCK!! FUCK!!!

But...for how long!!! I'm guessing nothing will happen if videos don't get reported. But once they do, then youtube will probably check for other accounts that have got clicks on the same link and...

what does this change? whether its that big long youtube redirect url or yours they could still ban multiple accounts if all the urls are the same.

I doubt they implemented this to "catch" anyone.

If everyone uses a short URL service like bit.ly or tinyurl... I doubt they'll kill everyones account that uses that domain.

Nop
Buy ready redirects in bulk and use 1 per each video.
Send my Pm if you need bulk redirects
