If you have already made changes to the homepage layout, blog layout, and other on-page factors, it may be time to focus on off-page factors such as backlinks. Consider performing a backlink audit to identify and remove any toxic or low-quality backlinks, while also actively seeking out high-quality and relevant backlinks from authoritative sources. Additionally, you may want to continue creating high-quality and relevant content, and promoting it through social media and other marketing channels to increase visibility and engagement. Be patient and monitor your progress over time to identify any further adjustments that may be necessary.
Good luck!

Thanks @Pixelator

At a similar time, the same thing happened to me and without any ui changes :)

Then keep on posting new good-quality articles, and you will start seeing the results. Also, you can work on backlinks. I used to create backlinks on sites that have Google News approval and which used to get indexed quickly. I would suggest to piggyback on websites like those.

If those spammy blog comments were used for backlink purposes, they may have had an impact on your website's SEO performance in the past. However, if they are old and haven't been used recently, their impact on your website's current SEO performance may be limited. Google has updated its algorithm several times over the years, and nowadays, it focuses on high-quality backlinks rather than low-quality spammy ones.

ok thanks, now i am working more on relevant guest posts.

So have you started seeing improvements by creating backlinks now? Our online shop lost about 30% of keywords during the update. We have been focusing on editing/changing almost all product pages and haven't spent time creating new backlinks since early this year. We wonder if creating backlinks now will help recovering from the March update. One interesting fact is that even tho we have lost 30% of backlinks during the update, and continue to lost keywords even when I last checked a couple of days ago, our organic traffic remains about the same. Can someone please share your experience?
