With such a targeted change you are probably just being re-indexed, give it a week or so, then check and you should be doing fine.

You could explain to the customer that by setting up the site CORRECTLY goggle will treat it as a new site. It is basically like starting from scratch *on googles end* so it needs to reevaluate where the site should be.
