Changed Title & Rankings Changed

I changed my title tag on a page a couple of weeks ago and some rankings have been lost a little since.

Its now more keyword optimized than before.

Anyway my question is, is it ok to change it back to what is was before or is 2 weeks to soon and wait it out?

This is the first time i have encountered/observed this so unsure what the best play is here.

I've had the same issue. I saw in GSC that I was on position 4 for a keyword with a lot of impressions, but it was not in my title. I added it into my title and made it look natural, and now it's at #8..
 
My experience: the more you starting play with it the longer period between your desired results. I would honestly let it be.
 
If you think the second title is better than first, wait for some more weeks.
 
There is nothing strange about what you’ve experienced. You can change your title tag back if you want, and your ratings should return within a couple of weeks or so. If you like your new title, though, there’s nothing wrong with keeping it. Your new title should also start to rank within weeks, or perhaps a month.
If I were you, I would keep the new title and see what happens. Otherwise, why even bother changing it? Treat it as an experiment.
