changed nameserver lost rankings? why!!!

Hi guys, i changed nameserver and lost rankings..dont know how this is possible! Will the rankings come back?

Maybe, just maybe the new NS IP is blacklisted by Google.

Nameservers rarely get blacklisted, but it happens. Did the actual IP stay the same?

Hi guys.. thanks for the replie.. didnt check if that was the case... ip...blacklisting...im over at mediatemple..ip changes with migration right?

It wasn't the change of name servers that caused the drop in rankings. You need to investigate more into the root cause of the drop.

I imagine the chances of Google blacklisting servers is so incredibly rare, particularly for shared hosting, that it effectively doesn't even exist.

How do you know that's cause of changing NS?

was your site down during the process ? how much time . If it was due to this , it will surely come up again. btw you didn't tell how much you lost ?

You guys are so right...I lost over 30 keywords al top 5..lost about 20 dollars a day in adsense
The website was ofline for about 6 hours..rankings are coming back though .. not all but atleast a few important ones... bless you guys for helping out.

With time, it will come up for other keywords too.

If they are coming back then you should be ok, probably just have Google a temporary scare lol

I've had this happen to me before when moving a site from a VPS to cloud hosting via the same hosting provider. I saw the rankings go back to normal within a few weeks.
