Changed my Wordpress Theme, now my rankings have gone

Have any of you guys ever had this happen. You change your wordpress theme and then you drop completly from the rankings. I have a website http://howtobecomethin.com and it was ranking number 1 for the phrase...how to become thin Its PR3 for some reason also.

Now i neglected this website and stuck some adsense on it which didn't do to much as it displayed anorexia help etc et. So my plan was to get some new content on it etc etc. So i changed them theme and a few days later it drops from all rankings. I haven't been bombing it with links. It a white-hat site. If anything, I would have expected it to drop slowly because i wasn't adding much content. Any of you guys ever experienced this?

yeah.. SEO is sometimes affected by the site structural changes. Did not happen to me directly, but happened to a friend of mine... But the ranking was back in a month or so. Not sure what he did

It will happen I mean G is like WOA WOA WOA WTF? Because a lot of codes on your site has changed... its a bot that reads your site after all so it doesn't really know what you changed all it knows is you need to be re-evaluated.

Same thing happened to me when I changed link structure and A theme.

It is important thing to aware of any changes of your code.

yeah, just sit back and relax. your rankings will come back after a while. baddest thing you can do now is do even more significant changes

Changing the theme shouldn't change your SEO rankings.

It may occur if you had widgets that contained keyword rich text before and now the widgets are gone.

Are you sure you didn't accidently change the permalinks..

This can have a major impact on your SEO

still having pr3 no problem with it?

I was using the flexsqueeze theme and i changed it to one of the free themes but i have since changed it back to flexsqueeze.

Thanks for the advice guys. Its still receiving visits from googlebots and getting some traffic from google images and its not sandboxed so i guess i will add some content and hope things return.

Just curious how you got PR3 on that site with virtually no backlinks ? How much traffic does it generate for you? Thx
