Change PayPal name?

I've been blocked from a merchant from buying from them, but I really need to continue buying. Is there a way I can change my PayPal name, or somehow remain anonymous? I'll be using a proxy for the purchase.. but I need a method of making the payments look like they're coming from someone else.

Better if you just sign up with another paypal with your relative's name, address etc etc..

I think merchant just block ur email. U just add new email and set your new email as primary. Then opt out the old email.

I was also wondering about this. The thing is, the merchant hasn't automatically blocked me. They just stated they will be monitoring my activity and have the right to cancel orders etc. So I'm guessing they'll be checking for my name too?

Is it a business account? If not, upgrade. You can change your business name with a business account and you can also change your delivery name/address by adding a 'gift address' and input any name/address you like. Also, as pointed out above, add another email and make it your primary.

You can't change personal names.. I've tried. You can change business names, email, and contact info though!

It is easy enough to change business names? Or is it manually reviewed? I'm going to be needing to change my identity every month or two.

Its easy enough under profile settings. I've done it a few times without problems.

I'm getting this:

To process your name change request, you need to fax in additional information. Please provide a current photo identification and one of the other following documents:

A copy of a valid photo identification showing your new name.
Acceptable forms of photo identification are a driver's license, passport or any other state or government issued photo identification.
A copy of a recent utility bill showing your new name and address exactly as they appear on your PayPal account.
A copy of a recent bank statement for the bank account listed on your PayPal account (if applicable).
Please include a letter on company stationery indicating the primary email address, current name, address and telephone number on the PayPal account, the reason for the name change, and the new business contact name.

I finally got it! Once you upgrade to business account, there's a new option to change the name without having to provide proof. Now I can change my email and name each month and remain anonymous! Thanks a lot guys, you've just saved my monthly revenue. Rep and thanks for you all.

Yo, I know this is a super old thread but I'm having the same need to change the owner's name of my Paypal Business Account.

Long story short, when I first got into IM I was under 18, so I couldn't register a Paypal on my own. My older sister created an account for me, with her name but my address. So even after I turned 18 I'm still using it to this day lmao. Now I'm properly building my business, and I really don't feel comfortable having the Paypal of my business have my sister's name as it's owner.

Is there any way to safely change the name? Would Paypal screw me over and close the account if I try to contact them and explain the situation? I have some clients subscribed to a monthly service through this Paypal and wouldn't wanna throw it away. Would HIGHLY appreciate some help!
